It's MYOP Time!

Or to put it another way, make your own props time :)

Some of you already know that I love to make some of my own props. I've knitted baby hats/bonnets (including some with the cutest little bear ears), done countless crochet layers for newborn/baby shoots, and made a couple of dreamcatchers and floral hoops.

One time I even made a faux bedside cabinet from a cardboard box for a bouoir shoot!

Today though I'm making another dreamcatcher which I'm hoping to use in an upcoming maternity session. It's quite a time-consuming project though as I'm having to fray hundreds of strips of fabric for the fringe part, one thread at a time. Definitely a labour of love this one! And I just found out after a trip to my nearest yarn shop that they don't stock the wool I need to make the dream catcher, so I'm going to have to do some online shopping later. Normally any wool would do but this dreamcatcher is a bit different, this one will be a crocheted mandala dreamcatcher! I'm going all out for this one, I want it to be really special.

Once it’s finished I’ll post some pictures of it. And if it turns out really nice I might just make a smaller one for use in newborn shoots as I think it would be super cute for a baby girl.
